It has a creamy lather and takes a couple of showers to get used to its consistency. I like that the scent stayed longer. Contrary to one review here, this shampoo lathers well on my hair and leaves it really soft and clean-feeling. I'm not one to patronize single products, but I literally don't think I'll want to use any other shampoo and conditioner. (I use the moisturizing variant with both.) I have a long history of allergies with hair care products and so I have never been fully satisfied with commercial shampoos. The awesome thing about the HHN moisturizing shampoo is that it doesn't trigger my allergies. And guess what? Since I started using it (and with the help of another all-natural moisturizer), I haven't had any major pimple breakouts. It seems that my "pimples" were simply an allergic reaction. So ironically, what I put on to have great hair ended up helping me get great skin as well. I don't regret buying the 500ml bottle and I will definitely continue to use this product. I tried both the old and the new versions and I must say the new one is a huge improvement. The old one left my hair with a brittle feel and quite a bit of falling hair. The new shampoo leaves my hair softer and shinier. It takes quite some time to dry and my hair will initially have a very slightly greasy feel to it (perhaps because of the VC oil content from the conditioner?) but disappears after an hour or two. It won't make your hair super sleek and shiny like with commercial shampoos, though. And it won't lather like commercial shampoos either. But I most definitely prefer the HHN shampoo. Commercial shampoos after some time tend to weigh down my hair so that it has absolutely no volume. I'm not a fan of the hair-flat-on-the-head look myself. All in all, great product! Thanks so much for producing such a quality product at an affordable price!

The smell is okay, but this shampoo can't be used without conditioner. It leaves it really stiff and dry. I would give this 2 stars because my scalp is itching right now and I have flakes all over. I've been using this for almost a week. I've read somewhere here that it takes some time to adjust when changing shampoos but I'm not sure if I can still wait that long for the itching to go away. Please tell me what to do :( thanks. [EDITOR’S NOTE: Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention, Sarah. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Most people can adjust right away to new shampoos, but if you have sensitive scalp, it can take as much as 2-3 weeks to adjust depending on our scalp type. Our customer service team will contact you to gather more information and to check on the reaction you had. We will be more than happy to refund or replace the product for you if you don’t want to wait. :)]

When I was pregnant with my 3rd son, I was often nauseous most especially during the 1st trimester. So it was horrible to take a bath because my commercially-available shampoo smelled so bad that I could taste the bitterness and make me gag! I've tried all the brands out there, in one month. Until I've read in a pregnancy book that pregnancy tends to orient us to the good natural stuff, so organic shampoos and toothpaste (wish you have them too) will help lessen the nausea. And its the body's way to protect mother and baby against harmful foods and chemicals. During the search for the all-good natural shampoo, I realized after reading labels of those brands claiming to be organic, they're just a couple of ingredients better than the locally marketed brands. But for the price, they weren't cost-beneficial. Then I remembered my friend who's parents sold Human Nature products and got myself this shampoo. I didn't get nauseous the first time I tried it and my hair looked better even postpartum. My naturally wavy hair was soft, shiny and had a natural bounce. (The frizz was manageable with the moisturizing conditioner and sunflower oil.) During my hair-loss period, my hair was still soft and my scalp was healthy. Unlike with my previous postpartum hair-loss experiences, I had dry brittle hair and bad dandruff. Then for a while I tried a different brand claiming to be natural. It didn't do as well as our beloved Natural Moisturizing Shampoo. With the new CreamFoam now, its way better. The smell lasts more than a day and I enjoy the lathering with less amount. I often match this with the moisturizing conditioner, the Jasmine hair mask and Sunflower oil. The new 500mL bottle is also easier to grip and nice to look at. And last, I just had my hair colored so let's see if this shampoo keeps my color long. I'll share the good news. :D

I have used and endorsed the old formula and I have to say personally I have 0 hair fall and my hair grew faster. My Hair from previously grown chemical hair care have gotten stiff yet the newly grown hair from HHN were soft, healthy, shiny and “bagsak”, I had to cut off the stiff part so I could really enjoy my hair and it’s worth the long cut. I had problem with the suds but it was just minor, the major thing was my hair smelt “amoy-araw” so I avoided staying long under the sun. For this new formula: Truly, my hair became very soft and “bagsak”, I no longer have issues with the suds or staying and sweating under the sun because the fragrance stays the whole day, not that strong though which is great. I have compared some customer’s before and after shots and feel for just a week of use and I have to say her hair became softer, shinier and lesser dandruff from dandruff, and no joke stiff and dry hair because of repeated rebonding. Thumbs up for that. Unfortunately, for 2 months now I am still experiencing hair fall. Maybe 20-30 strands of hair during bath time. I have clients who previously used the old formula and switched to new and they also complained about the hair fall despite the fact that they used it longer than I do. So, if the client’s concern is hair fall I recommend the strengthening, for dry hair- this moisturizing shampoo. I am having a hard time suggesting what they should use if their concerns are both. Looking forward for better formula. For the big break - I have been rebonding my hair for 10 years (that long) but after using HHN hair care and cut my hair really short, I have to say I no longer need treatments especially rebonding! Thanks for making me stick and happy with my hair! Note: I'm on my 6th month of usage.

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Thank you for your feedback and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. Whenever you change from one shampoo to another, depending on your scalp type, it can take anything up to a few weeks for your scalp to adjust to the new shampoo. However, our research suggests that if you keep using it for a couple more weeks, your scalp should adjust and your hair will be much softer and silkier than before. But as with all Human Nature products, if you are not completely happy and satisfied, we shall be glad to replace or exchange them for you. :) ]

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Thank you for your feedback and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. Whenever you change from one shampoo to another, depending on your scalp type, it can take up to a few weeks for your scalp to adjust to the new shampoo. • Nikka (09/02/2011)

I've been using HHN shampoos on and off for two years now, and compared to the old formulations and other organic shampoos, I like this one the most. When I use organic shampoos, I notice that they tend to be sticky when applied so that they're very hard to spread and they don't lather as much. Either that or they're too runny. This new formulation has just the right consistency, it lathers very well and really leaves my hair feeling soft, especially when used with the conditioner. Also, compared to other organic shampoos, this one does the best job at leaving my hair "feeling clean." I took one star off only because I feel that even if it's doing the best job so far, it can still be better. :)

I love the smell and how it makes my hair soft and manageable! I normally wear my hair in a ponytail, but now I am confident to wear it down. =)

At the risk of incurring the ire of many others who gave this product a good review, I sincerely hope I don't offend anyone with mine. Please believe that I am not giving this product a thumbs down; I just need to be honest with how our hair responded to this product so that Human Heart can look into "unique" needs like mine. I tried this new product for a month, but unfortunately it didn't work well for my type of hair. During the first few days, it made my scalp itchy. Then, I noticed it left my hair dull & lifeless. Soon after, I noticed the tremendous amount of HAIR FALL; hence, I decided to give it up altogether. I've been a faithful user of the old variant, Mandarin with egg white in particular, and I haven't had any experience with hair fall during that 1 1/2 -year period. In fact, my hair (and that of our kids) became healthier, thicker & more manageable. My husband & son were also users of the Lemongrass variant, and it worked well for their dry, itchy scalp (which no other commercial brands were able to remedy). I loved these products so much that I became an "unofficial" Human Heart spokesperson through my endorsement of the entire HH line-up (to family & friends). It saddens me that just when we have finally discovered products that satisfied our family's needs, Human Heart discontinued its production -- first the Lemongrass, now the Mandarin. I sincerely hope the company would either consider bringing those back, produce shampoos with similar formulation, or come up with other varieties that will not have to be pulled out from the market so soon after it has been put out. I shudder at the thought of going back to commercial shampoos because I know it is all the more unsuitable for our family's needs. Please, please, please do something about it. I really hope HH would give its attention to this matter. Thank you for your understanding. [EDITOR'S NOTE - Thanks for your feedback Vic! Yes, we're listening :) Whenever you change shampoo, it will take time for your hair and scalp to adjust, anything up to 4 weeks if you have sensitive hair or scalp. If you can, we recommend that you persevere with this one since all our research shows that you will eventually feel the benefit. But if it doesn't work for you, you can try our original kids formula shampoo, which we will still have for the next few months, or our new kids shampoo. Actually one of our researchers prefers the new kids shampoo. She gets itchy scalp with the moisturizing one (since she has an oily scalp), but loves the Pineapple Pawikan Kids :) We also have a new strengthening shampoo coming at the end of September 2011, which you could try too. Hope this helps! And thank you for all your support.]

I love it! Finally, a company that doesn't just pay lip-service to containing truly clean and non-harmful ingredients. When I complained a few months ago that the old formulas used Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, which is known to cause contact dermatitis and can be quite allergenic, your representative said that they would work on a new formulation. And now here it is! I love that your company is always trying to update itself and make the best formulations possible. Since that time I have tried all sorts of sulfate-free shampoos and read countless consumer reviews of even expensive, acclaimed international brands and they would always complain of the shampoo drying their hair and making it straw-like. This was generally my experience too until using this shampoo. I'm so glad that I can finally stop the search for a truly organic shampoo that actually makes my hair feel soft and clean.

Contrary to one review here, this shampoo lathers well on my hair and leaves it really soft and clean-feeling. I understood what 'cream foam' meant when after three seconds or so of massaging the shampoo on my head the foam--not bubbles or suds--started to appear and it's kinda milky in texture. It's really something new to the feel :D The smell is pleasant enough, though not something really addicting, but I don't really mind because I use hair wax to style my hair and it smells like apple. What about manufacturing an all-organic hair wax (pomade and gels don't really sell to guys these days)? it'd be a terrific addition to your hair products! [EDITOR'S NOTE: Thank you for your feedback! We'll keep your suggestion in mind and we'll forward this tour Nature Care Lab so we can study on it. :) ]

For more than a year, I've been using Human Nature shampoos and conditioners. I would have to say that this is the best shampoo so far. Before, my hair didn't feel as clean. It felt like there was some residue left. Now, it feels clean and soft (I use the Natural Moisturizing Conditioner as well).

I love how creamy and easily it lathers on my hair (in relation to Arlene's review -- the secret to lathering any shampoo or soap is to wet your hair or body first) but at the same time washes off easily. I love the mandarin scent and I don't mind that the scent doesn't linger on my hair the whole day coz I'm aware that chemicals do this to other commercial products. It would be lovely though if the complimentary conditioner is as creamy as right now, it feels a tad runny to me. Overall, I enjoy every bath experience I have using Human Nature products. It would be great though if you can come up with a line of lavender-scented soaps as I'm a soap freak! More power to you and keep innovating great stuff!

I'm embarking on a all-organic beauty products and was excited to try this one especially after seeing the product teaser on the website. First, I observed that it takes a while before the shampoo lathers, unlike the commercial brands that instantly lather the moment you massage it on your hair. This one takes a few more seconds but gives you the same rich lather. I also love the mandarin scent but it goes away as soon as you dry your hair. I wish the scent stays on my hair the whole day because it's so refreshing. Performance-wise, I regret to say that it did not do wonders for my hair. First time I used it without conditioner, my hair felt dry. The next time I finished with a commercial conditioner and I did not see much improvement. I might continue using it though until I find a better organic shampoo. [EDITOR'S NOTE: Thank you for your feedback. Yes, it takes a little longer to foam because we don't use any sulfates (e.g. SLS/SLES) since they cause long-term damage to hair and have been linked to other health problems. Regarding scent, again, chemical shampoos use phthalates to make the scent linger longer, but those synthetic fragrances are hormone disruptors and can lead to reproductive problems. It's never likely to be possible to get exactly the same immediate feel with a natural product as with the synthetic chemicals, but you won't risk any unwanted side effects :) And as always at Human Nature, if you're not completely satisfied, we are happy to provide a full refund or exchange :) ]

It was a long journey from QC main office to Lipa City where I reside, and after a tiring day I decided to give myself a night shower using this breakthrough shampoo - it really delivers the promise, I actually felt my hair softened even without the conditioner. At first the scent seemed too strong for my taste (I'm used to the mandarin moisturizing shampoo with a pleasant orangey-fresh scent which I regularly used), but after a while the strong scent died down and a gentler note remained. A definite keeper!

Did you know: Enjoying that foamy lather you get from chemical shampoos? It’s usually from chemical surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). Sure, the lather feels nice but do you ever wonder what happens to all that foam after you rinse it off? It goes back into our rivers and oceans, where it is very toxic to the ecosystem.

In addition, SLS/SLES has been reported by the Environmental Working Group (www.ewg.org) as a moderate hazard to human health. It’s been linked to skin irritation, cancer and organ toxicity.
