Dear Friends,
They say Christmas is about the children. You can feel the excitement in the air as all the kids in our household count down the days until Christmas Day. It truly is a time full of wonder and a golden opportunity to teach generosity to our children. More often than not, they are the ones teaching this value to us; Ariel, my 6 year old, reminded me this morning that her two piggy banks are getting heavy and fat and soon it will be time to open them up and buy nice gifts for the poor children.
Christmas 2011 is also extra special because of the year long preparations we've made to give birth to the newest additions to the Human Nature family --- the Human Nature Natural Baby Line and our all new 100% Natural Day & Night Moisturizers. It has been a long road from conceptualization to bringing these products to our dealers fraught by many challenges (and tears!). We hope that the end products are something that you will love and enjoy. They have been especially formulated with the harrassed and heroic mothers and their precious bundles of joy in mind.

Humanity Fair: Hearts of Change
It was a scorching hot day last Saturday but there were still smiles all around. Despite the summer weather, everyone could feel the Christmas spirit through and through. There was much fun and excitement all around. From the launch of the new products to the inspiring and uplifting talks of our very own President, Anna Meloto-Wilk and the father and founder of Gawad Kalinga, Tito Tony Meloto, to the fun and educational farm tour, to the weekend market shopping for Philippine-made goodies, to nail art and egg painting, the list of activities to do were endless!

We were so blessed to be joined by our Human Nature Global Ambassador, Rachel Grant, who flew in straight from New York just to be with us. Surrounded by our lovely dealers and partner branch operators together with our ever-supportive and uber-gorgeous Human Nature advocates - former cover model Patty Ortega and Human Nature Ambassador Ingrid Nieto, it was so great to be surrounded by people who shared the same passion for the advocacy of Human Nature - being Pro Philippines, Pro Poor and Pro Environment.

A walk through the village of the English bard in Stratford inspired this piece. Shakespeare is as relevant today as he was during his time in our search for love in a world where people have grown cold and the climate is becoming abnormally and dangerously warm.
Caring, like a rose, by any other name or in any other place, would exude the same fragrance of joy and hope. It is true in Asia as it is in Europe.
Officially, I'm in England and France on a speaking tour of 17 business, management and development schools about hope in our bottom-of-the-pyramid initiative called Gawad Kalinga and its social business offspring Human Nature.
Our presence was timely and our cause inspiring to the brightest and the best in top European universities facing an uncertain future in a plundered planet.

Holiday Looks with Human Nature's Mineral Makeup
The holiday season is upon us and you know what that means - Christmas parties, family reunions, simbang gabi and other festive events. Glam your look up with Human Nature's mineral makeup line. Here are a few tips on how you can create festive looks! ☺
First up, the classic red lip. Start by using Human Nature's Mineral Powder in the shade closest to your skin tone to even out redness and minimize oiliness. Eco-Lifestyle: How-to Home Remedies
Looking to serve something cool, refreshing and natural at your next Christmas party? Here's a simple recipe for some wonderful Pandan and Lemongrass Iced Tea.
Ingredients:
| 10 Pandan leaves, cut into several pieces | |
| 5 pieces Lemongrass | |
| 2 cups water | |
| 1/4 Add calamansi juice and syrup. Stir to mix well. Pour into a glass and add ice cubes. | |
| 3 tbsp. syrup | |
| Ice cubes |
How to make the ice tea:
| 1. | Boil pandas leaves in 1 cup water for a few minutes. |
| 2. | Boil lemongrass in 1 cup water for a few minutes and let it cool. |
| 3. | Strain the pandan and lemongrass water into the bowl to remove the leaves. |
| 4. | Add calamansi juice and syrup. Stir to mix well. Pour into a glass and add ice cubes. |
Ta-da! A refreshing green drink that's perfectly Pinoy and perfectly healthy☺
