Good news! The Nielsen Global Survey of Corporate Social Responsibility conducted a global study saying the Philippines "ranked highest globally in having consumers who check the product packaging to ensure the brand is committed to positive social and environmental impact before deciding to purchase it." The study also showed that "the Philippines has the most number of consumers who are more willing to pay extra for products and services that come from socially responsible and environment-friendly companies." (*) This is all very good because it affirms what we have believed in for a very long time - Filipinos value goodness. This also places the privilege of responsibility on our, as well as your, shoulders!
The goodness of Human Nature is spreading fast and wide. But we need to share the products and spread the advocacy much faster and wider to make an even bigger impact on our country's economy, our environment, our people's collective health, our farmers, and the poor. In yet another global study, 84% said word-of-mouth recommendations still remain to be the most trustworthy form of advertising. (**) This means that all of you, as our core army of advocates, play a key role in propelling the spirit of goodness to become a part of the Filipinos' consumer behavior.
