Hi! I'm suffering from perioral dermatitis since I was a kid, basically allergic to commercial flavored lip balms and lipsticks. I get flares every few years. I have given up on using lip balms (believe me, I've tried A LOT) and have just been using petroleum jelly. It was the only thing that did not cause my skin allergies to...

Me and my mom use the peppermint ones. And I must say they're pretty cool... get it? Cause... never mind. Anyway it's just great on my lips and they're good moisturizers! I also love the cooling effect on my lips. Since my lips are usually dry, I find myself using this a lot. But sometimes not so much :) great...

I really enjoyed this organic lip balm that helps moisturize my lips for a long time. Also it has this minty effect that keeps my lips cool. After being an avid user of your peppermint lip balm, I decided to try the new wild berry flavor and I'm quite happy with it. this is a must-have for someone like me who has dry lips. One night I tried pulling away the dry skin on my lips and it bled. I panicked and I used this balm in mint right away. I like the cooling sensation it has. I applied a thick amount of the balm in my lips. The next morning I'm...

I used to love this product because it did such a fantastic job at keeping my lips in great shape! I actually love the original formulation better for 3 reasons: the strong peppermint scent masked the "waxy"/"cosmetic" smell of traditional lip balms that made me hate make up when I was younger, the "no-greasy"-feel after application, and the immediate cooling (and...

I'm in love with the peppermint lip balm! I love how it goes on, moisturizing yet light. Compared to most commercial lip balms you find in drugstores I would prefer this one. My lips have a tendency to darken when using some lip balms so I'm careful with my brands. Trying Human Heart Nature lip balms probably was the smartest decision I've made so far in lip care since they're so gentle and moisturizing, I don't even need to put lip gloss. No observed lip darkening as well. Great job!...

i like your peppermint lip balm! your lip balm is better compared before.. also, i like that your peppermint lip balm has mild scent, unlike other brands so i really don't like peppermint lip balms.. i'm glad that i tried it, no regrets =) excited on trying your other lip balms, especially the tinted ones =)...

It is not greasy nor too stiff. There’s no oily feel or shine, it’s soft and very pleasant to apply. It gently glides leaving that prominent peppermint smell. However, others might find it too strong, I would recommend to try he other lip balm variants. it does glide on more smoothly... it's unlike the previous lip balms that felt a little bit waxy on the lips. it does feel like it makes my lips softer and moisturized. it does not simply sit on top on my lips. it's a must-have in my kikay-kit......

I have given up on using lip balms (believe me, I've tried A LOT) and have just been using petroleum jelly. It was the only thing that did not cause my skin allergies to flare up. I've done my research and have attributed my allergies to SLS or parabens. So when I discovered your products, I decided to give them a try. And they were a godsend! The natural lipbalm was the only one that worked for me! I tried the lipstick too, and it was amazing! Dermatologists should recommend your products to all their patients suffering from perioral dermatitis! I hope your R&D team would look into making natural toothpaste without SLS or parabens too. (I also get allergies from commercial toothpaste, so I use one of the Healthy Options organic toothpastes, which is so expensive). Thank you! May you continue to develop more amazing products! :)

I use the Wild Berry variant and just love the scent and the way it feels on my lips. I just find the cap annoying, though. It doesn't stay on very well. I don't know if I just got a lemon of a tube or you guys really make the tube caps this way. Sometimes, I would dig into my make-up kit and find the cap off. This means also finding balm on the other items in my kit or finding dust or dirt on the sitck itself. Not very hygenic for something that one puts on one's lips regularly. Can you make the cap close more tightly over the mouth of the tube, please? [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Angie! You'll be happy to know that this minor packaging issue has been addressed already and we would be happy to replace your lip balm with a brand new one with a tight cap. We're so happy you love our Wild Berry variant and we would love for you to continue enjoying it :) Our Customer Service will be in touch soon! Thank you!]

I have had dry and chapped lips since I was in college, and I only used petroleum jelly to lessen that problem but I used so much petroleum jelly already and my lips are still dry and chapped. My husband gave me this last year and this lip balm has worked wonders on my lips. I glide it on my lips every night, and when I wake up, my lips feel very soft and moisturized. When I use it in the morning, before I put on my lipstick, my lips doesn't dry at all! I can go for hours without re-application and my lips still feel smooth, soft, and moisturized. I hope HHN develops a paraben and petrolatum, paraffin-free lip balm. Menthol or peppermint oil/flavoring is scientifically proven to be drying. The shades/colors are nice though. [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi! Please be assured that all of our lip balms as well as our other products are free from parabens, paraffins, and petroleum compounds. We use only pure all-natural plant oils in our lip balms to soothe, moisturize, and nourish lips, rather than dry them out. Our peppermint lip balm is actually our best-selling flavor and the peppermint we use in it is a pure essential oil - no paraffin or petrolatum, unlike many of the other peppermint lip balms available! But if you feel that the peppermint flavor is not for you or suspect that you may be allergic to peppermint oil, we do hope you try out our other flavors :)]

Though, I hope you'll improve the cap with a tight fitting one as it tends to fall off. Hope you'll also come up with other flavors, like strawberry or orange. Other than that, I won't hesitate to buy and try other flavors once my current tube runs out. :) [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Laine! We're delighted that you love our products. We're sorry about the tube you received and our customer service team will get in touch with you if you'd like your tube replaced with one with a tighter cap. Our R&D Team at the Natural Care Labs is constantly coming up with new innovations, so keep checking back for more in the future! :)]

This balm is truly amazing. I've always had dry chappy lips no matter what moisturizing balm I use. My lips are constantly peeling everyday! I've tried all types that you can see in the market. I even tried using petroleum jelly, not knowing it's bad for me. But my chappy lips keep coming back. So I was skeptic at first that this balm would work on me since I've tried so many products before. But when I started using this balm, in just 1 day, my chappy lips were gone! And I was waiting to see if it would last, and it didn't fail me. Right now I only have smooth soft lips. It's unbelievable, this balm is miraculous! This is the solution I've been waiting for so long. I bought the tutti frutti flavor and I love the bubble gum scent of it!!! I apply it everyday and it's the only thing I use. I can't live without this balm anymore. Thank you so much HN for creating this wonderful product.

I thought it was an isolated case but recently I also purchased Choco Fudge, and it has the same loose cap. :( Sayang naman yung nadudumihang part. Also, it smelled more like toffee than choco, I should have bought Wild Berry. :( [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Theresa! We're sorry about your lip balm caps, and we'd be happy if you'd let us replace or refund your lip balms for free. One of our customer service representatives will get in touch with you to discuss this. Also, we'll happily exchange your Choco Fudge for Wild Berry :)]

  • spidergrrl (11/10/2012)

Just like some of the other reviewers here, I used to love this balm because it was all-natural and really helped to moisturize my lips. When my tube of Tutti Frutti expired a few months ago, I ordered a new tube from a friend. When I got my order, the cap had already fallen off inside the brown paper bag that my friend put it in. I didn't really think much of it at the time because I simply assumed that the bag had gotten some rough treatment in my friend's purse. Thing is, I'm used to putting the tube in the pocket of my jeans so that it would easy to retrieve whenever my lips felt dry. I never had problems with the old packaging even when I did that, so it was pretty disappointing when I put my hand in my pocket and came up with a sticky mess. The cap had come off while it was there and the balm was smeared all over my keys, my phone, and the pocket of my jeans. The balm was ruined, of course, so I had to throw it away. The sad thing was that I had only had it for a day or two at that point. Nakakapanghinayang. I hope HNN will be able to improve the locking mechanism for the new tubes for the next shipment. Until then I'm going to have to stick with my icky commercial lip balm. [EDITOR’S NOTE: Hi, spidergrrl! Thank you very much for your review and we’re really sorry about the mess. We’ll let our Quality Assurance Team know about this so they can make necessary developments on the packaging of the product. For now, we’d like to offer you a free replacement of the product to help make it up to you. Our Customer Service Team will be in touch. :)]

First, I wanna say, I love all the HHN products I've used. Recently, I bought one wild berry lip balm for myself and one peppermint lip balm for my boyfriend. The lip balm really is effective and smells great too... But the only problem we had was that the cap/ cover does not close tightly. Like when I put it inside my pouch with my other stuff, at kung kukunin ko na ulit, wala na yung takip.. =( but still, overall, we love the product!!!!
  • Angela Ysabel (10/22/2012)

I actually discovered HN because I was searching for cheap chocolate lip balms. When I finally got the chocolate variant of this, I was totally exhilarated because I really love the scent of chocolate. But it was not the scent I was expecting. Rather, it smelled like the one of chocolate powder drinks which I’m not a big fan of. I still used it anyway because even though I’m not into the smell, I don’t despise it either. Surprisingly, it really moisturized my lips! I love how it lasts and gives off a soft feeling. But there is another con to this. It melts easily and gets really sticky. What’s worse is that the cap goes off every single time, leaving my bag really messy. And it looks like a mess itself. I don’t know but my tinted lip balm is not like this one. I have another unused one because I was thinking of giving it to my friend but I got scared that she might experience what I did. [EDITOR’S NOTE: Hi Angela Ysabel! We’re happy to know that you loved how your lips were kept moisturized by our lipbalm but we’re really sorry about the scent and the mess. The melting suggests it may have been exposed to high heat. The melting point is almost 60C, which suggests it may have been left inside a car or in direct sunlight. As with all our products, it’s important not to expose them to high heat. But fret not! :) We’re glad to let you know that we can have the product replaced or credited to your account. Someone from our customer service team will get in touch with you. :)]

I swear wild berry was love at first sniff and glide but just after a couple of days, it starts to smell differently. Maybe it's because of the all-natural ingredients and no preservatives to hold on to the smell of wild berry, however, the smell after a couple of days becomes a little off-putting. But regardless if it starts to smell like wax, I still use it! I like the fact that it is slightly tinted - it compliments my natural rosy lips so that's one of the things I love about the wild berry balm. Another thing I love is how it exfoliates my eternally chappy lips. I use this before sleeping and by morning, I can just brush off the flaky skin away. I love wild berry - slightly tinted and effective for chappy lips. I just hope there's a way to improve the change in smell after some time. Thanks! [EDITOR’S NOTE: Hi Stacey! Thank you very much for your. What you’ve experienced is quite unusual. Is it possible you left it in a car or somewhere where it could have got very hot? Since we use natural fragrances, they are susceptible to evaporation if they get too hot, but they shouldn’t change if kept below 35C. But fret not! :) We’ll gladly have it replaced or credited in your account. Our Customer Service Team will be in touch. :)]

I apply this then apply the sunflower beauty oil for gloss and superior moisure :) Keep up the good work Human <3 Nature!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'll repurchase :)

So disappointed. :( The quality did became better in terms of stability, because it doesn't easily melt and appears solid on the tube. But i feel it was less moisturizing, less minty, dragged on my lips when applied and feels like wax. [EDITOR’S NOTE: Hello Elena! Thank you very much for your review and we’re sorry to hear you don’t love this one as much as the old one. Our reformulated lip balms do actually contain more all natural oils which can better help in healing cracked lips. We also make sure that new formulations get higher marks in our testing before releasing them into the market. All reformulations are tested by a panel of dealers and we only release when a clear majority of people prefer the new one. But there are often still a few, just like you, who prefer the old formula with any new product we release. However, you’ll be happy to know that we’ve been testing a stronger peppermint essential oil recently and will be using it very soon, hopefully within August 2012. It’s much more minty :) In any case though, we’d be more than happy to have this exchanged or have it credited in your account. Our Customer Service Team will be in touch. :)]

After being an avid user of your peppermint lip balm, I decided to try the new wild berry flavor and I'm quite happy with it. It is just as smooth and soft as the peppermint flavor, only with a faint berry hue. My only issue is that the cover of this does not close tightly. I've never encountered this with any of your previous lip balms so maybe it's just an isolated defect. But it does cause the cover to fall off easily in my make-up bag. [EDITOR’S NOTE: It’s really great to know that you love our products, Lily! :) Please know that your satisfaction is very important to us and we’re wishing to get a 5 star from you… :) With that, we’d like to offer a replacement of your wild berry lip balm. Our Customer Service Team will be in touch. :)]

mine was choco fudge and i love it but the packaging of this product is not so good because the cap is not tight enough so i hope you change the packaging of lip balms. thank you human nature :) [EDITOR’S NOTE: Hi Jo! We’re happy to know that you love our product but we’re sorry about the packaging. What you’ve encountered is quite unusual as this is the first time that we’ve heard of such feedback on the packaging. There could probably be a problem with the one that you’ve got. But as with any other Human Nature product, if you are not completely satisfied, we’ll gladly replace it or credit it back on your account. Our Customer Service Team will be in touch. :)]

this is a must-have for someone like me who has dry lips. One night I tried pulling away the dry skin on my lips and it bled. I panicked and I used this balm in mint right away. I like the cooling sensation it has. I applied a thick amount of the balm in my lips. The next morning I'm expecting that my bloody lips will have a wound. I can't explain why it did not have any! plus it looked like it healed overnight. Amazing! Even my boyfriend likes the balm because I let him use it when he had chapped lips.:) Will stock two more mints next time.:D

I used to love this product because it did such a fantastic job at keeping my lips in great shape! I actually love the original formulation better for 3 reasons: the strong peppermint scent masked the "waxy"/"cosmetic" smell of traditional lip balms that made me hate make up when I was younger, the "no-greasy"-feel after application, and the immediate cooling (and healing) effect it had on my lips. Although the new formulation still has a (slightly lesser) "no-greasy" effect, it feels like there's a layer of *something* on my lips once I apply it :( And I miss the strong peppermint scent... it kinda reminds me of the smell of the lip gloss, which I don't like. This one kinda disappointed me because I really loved the original formulation. Hence: Original Formulation: 5 stars New Formulation: 3 stars [EDITOR’S NOTE: Hi, Kathy! Thanks for your review. Whenever we reformulate a product, we only release it when it gets significantly higher marks in our testing than the previous one. In all our tests, the majority of people preferred this, but there were a few people who preferred the other one, like you. In any case though, we’d be more than happy to exchange this for credit. Our customer service team will be in touch :)]

I totally love the peppermint scent! I have a really dry and chapped lips but this INSTANTLY made it better :)
  • Loree (02/03/2012)

I love the peppermint flavor! And this lip balm is easy to apply.
  • Erika Alice (12/22/2011)

I'm in love with the peppermint lip balm! I love how it goes on, moisturizing yet light. Compared to most commercial lip balms you find in drugstores I would prefer this one. Commercial lip balms are usually too heavy and they either feel sticky or greasy. The HHN lip balm is fabulous!! My mom has the chocolate flavored one and she just loves it. I tried hers and it tastes like cocoa, reminds me of hot cocoa.

i am allergic to beeswax and i have tried other expensive lip balms out there but they are not quite effective in keeping my lips moist and supple....this is the only lip balm with beeswax ingredient that didn't give me allergic reaction! two thumbs up HN! xoxo
  • Ash (11/02/2011)

The packaging is much better, not as flimsy or 'cheap-looking' like before. The smell is amazing (I got Choco Fudge). It does exactly what lip balms are supposed to do, minus the waxy, greasy feel.

Great job!
  • Elle (10/20/2011)

i like your peppermint lip balm! your lip balm is better compared before.. also, i like that your peppermint lip balm has mild scent, unlike other brands so i really don't like peppermint lip balms.. i'm glad that i tried it, no regrets =) excited on trying your other lip balms, especially the tinted ones =)

I love the smell of tutti frutti, it reminded me of my childhood, when I used to put sweet candy on my lips. It really smelled like candy, even a little child would love it! I also have in choco fuge, which smelled like chocolate and honey. I use these lip balms as my everyday lip moisturizer and it never failed to moisturize my abnormally drying lips. I use it day and night, and as a base for HHN's tinted lip balms for smoother glide. The added cocoa butter in the formulation makes it easier to apply. It feels like it melts on my mouth. Would definitely recommend to a friend (:

It is not greasy nor too stiff. There’s no oily feel or shine, it’s soft and very pleasant to apply. It gently glides leaving that prominent peppermint smell. However, others might find it too strong, I would recommend to try he other lip balm variants. it does glide on more smoothly... it's unlike the previous lip balms that felt a little bit waxy on the lips. it does feel like it makes my lips softer and moisturized. it does not simply sit on top on my lips. it's a must-have in my kikay-kit...
