The participating dealers had an inspiring and wonderful time at GK Aya Village last January 23 for the dealers based in the South and at GK Tribu Village last January 24 for the dealers based in the North. We plan to make this a regular monthly activity that all dealers can participate in to get more connected with the communities that we are helping and to also share the advocacy with our dealers who are an integral part of the Human Nature social enterprise. Starting February, commissions will be issued via checks. Dealers eligible to enjoy commissions may pick up their checks from their usual branch of transaction. If transactions are made with Head Office, the checks may be picked up at Head Office. The checks may be claimed personally or by your authorized representative. Your representative must show your dealer ID as well as a letter authorizing him/her to pick up the check on your behalf. Commission checks will be available on or before the 15th of the month. Should you prefer to have your commissions credited to your account instead, please advise Head Office on or before the 5th of the month so we can adjust accordingly. DEALERS GAWAD KALINGA VILLAGE INTERACTION PROGRAM  One of the company's goals as a social enterprise is to involve the dealers in their various advocacies. In line with this, the Dealers Gawad Kalinga Village Interaction Program was created. The first set of GK Village Interaction Programs took place last January 23 for the Southern Metro Manila dealers and last January 24 for the Northern Metro Manila dealers. The former visited the GK Aya Village in Multinational Village in Paranaque while the latter visited the GK Tribu Village in Quezon City. The program started with opening remarks from Mike Go (Human Nature Business Development Consultant) and the GK Village’s Kapitbahayan president. (Kapitbahayan refers to the Community Association established in the village in charge of keeping everything in order.) Both gave a short orientation on Gawad Kalinga and the village itself for the benefit of the dealers. The program then proceeded with the 2-hour “build” wherein the dealers took part in the on-going construction of the houses. Lunch, prepared by the residents themselves, was served and shared amongst everyone. The highlight of the program was the sharing of experiences amongst the dealers. One dealer in particular, an educator herself, was so inspired by the whole experience that she volunteered her services as a teacher at the village pre-school anytime they needed an extra hand. Another dealer was so enlightened by what took place that her motivation to share Human Nature products and spread the advocacies increased tenfold! Yet another found the first visit so fulfilling and compelling that she even went to the second visit the following day! In return, the dealers also introduced Human Nature to the residents, encouraging them to shift to using products free of harmful chemicals and to even register as dealers.

GK BAYANI CHALLENGE 2010: PALAWAN  Taken from 2009 GK Bayani Challenge Sulu: Only for the Brave! The time has come for the yearly GK Bayani Challenge! To be held at Rio Tuba, Palawan on March 29 – April 4, 2010, this year’s challenge is to build 100 homes for 100 palau’an families in a 5-day test of endurance and love for country. Join the 2010 GK Bayani Challenge Palawan and be a part of TEAM HUMAN NATURE*! BRANCH UPDATES Opening of Tacloban, Leyte Branch Human Nature is set to open in the heart of eastern Visayas: Tacloban City. As the regional center of commerce, culture and government, Tacloban will serve as the ideal location to further spread the products and advocacies of Human Nature. The launch is scheduled on Saturday, 6th of March, at La Rica Hotel from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Good news to dealers and product users residing all the way up North Luzon! The San Fernando Human Nature Branch officially opened last February 8, 2010. Conveniently and centrally located at the 2/F Diocesan Center Building just beside the San Fernando Church, dealers and customers in Region 1 will find the branch a delight to visit with its vibrant, airy interiors and its unhindered views of the nearby town plaza.   The branch opening was preceded by a very successful launch, held last February 6, at The Zigzag along Gapuz Zigzag Road. The launch was attended by more than 100 guests, comprising friends, existing dealers and prospects. The program started off with a prayer and an inspirational opening from one of the branch operators – former GK fulltime worker, Mikka Hipol. Gandang Kalikasan, Inc. Head of Sales & Marketing, Joanna Gilladoga, followed with the introduction of Human Nature's history, philosophy, advocacies and products. Marvin Sayo, Head of Branch Operations, presented the earnings opportunity together with some basic training for new dealers. To perk up the audience, raffle draws were held in between speakers with the grand prize of a Free Dealership (i.e. waiving of the Php825 registration fee) to the lucky winner. Five (5) Human Nature tote bags were also given out free to the first five people who signed up as dealers on that day. The program ended with a very emotional message from the branch operator, Chiqui Mantilla. She was elated with how things have finally taken place and with the hope that Human Nature changes other people’s lives, the way it has changed hers. SPOTLIGHT: Dealer of the Month  At a young age of 22, former GK full-time worker Francesa Mikka Hipol is the youngest dealer to venture in branch operations. Together with friend and fellow advocate, Chiqui Mantilla, Mikka will be promoting awareness for ’s advocacies in her hometown in La Union and, subsequently, throughout the whole of Region 1. The branch opening will also serve as a homecoming after ten years of living in Metro Manila. Mikka was introduced to the brand through her GK officemates who were already registered dealers. Using Human Nature products served as an eye-opener for her and she has since been more conscious and active in living a healthier lifestyle. Aside from Human Nature, Mikka is also occupied with graduate studies, taking up a master’s degree in developmental psychology which focuses on early childhood education. Given the opportunity, she would like to teach the younger generation the importance of caring for the environment and love for the country. Quoting Mikka, “if kids are raised in a society where patriotism is the mainstream culture, the future will be as bright they dream it to be.” We salute you, Mikka!
