You are only considered registered only upon full payment of the registration fee. RECRUITMENT REWARDS PROGRAM Human Nature dealers, you deserve more! So we are giving you more! The new Recruitment Rewards Program is a way for us to reward you more for successfully signing up new dealer recruits. Details of the program are as outlined below: Program Mechanics 1. The Recruitment Rewards Program is open to all registered Human Nature Dealers. 2. The qualifying program period is from September 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. Only new recruits who have filled up the dealer registration forms, completed all requirements and paid the registration fee during the qualifying program period are counted. 3. You will be eligible to receive the following rewards:
The above rewards are cumulative. This means that by the time you have 10 recruits, you would have received a pen, a mug, a toiletry bag and an umbrella! Then, the counter resets back to zero. For the next 1st recruit, you get a pen. For the 3rd recruit, you get a mug. And so on... 4. You can claim your reward from your Branch on Record (i.e. the branch you registered with OR regularly transact with) on the 3rd week of the succeeding month. For instance, Dealer Juana dela Cruz can claim her recruitment reward/s on Wk 3 October for recruiting 4 downline dealers for the period September 1-30. In this case, she will claim a pen and a mug. She can claim her reward on Wk 3 November for recruiting 5 downline dealers for the period October 1-31. She then claims a Toiletry Bag. After the 10th recruit, the rewards scheme goes back to a pen (for the 11th recruit), a mug (for the 13th recruit, a toiletry bag (for the 16th recruit), and so on... Special Program: For upline dealers with downline recruits prior to the September 1, 2010 RRP qualifying period As a token of appreciation for upline dealers who have successfully recruited other dealers into become Human Nature advocates before September 1, 2010, we will also be rewarding you with the following scheme below: Dealers with 6-9 downlines will get 1 mug Dealers with 10 & above downlines will get 1 umbrella Usually, for most if not all businesses, promotional initiatives for a promo duration do not reward achievement outside the qualifying period. However, we still want to say thank you in some way to our dealers who have recruited successfully even outside the promo duration. On September 26, 2010, a year after Typhoon Ondoy, many Filipinos are combating the memory of this disaster with hope. This is due to three main factors: 1) Demand went up by almost 500% in just a couple of weeks because of the dengue outbreak. 2) The Lemongrass harvest in Negros was much lower than expected, due to bad weather. They are really struggling to supply everything we need and so we have now also received some supplies from alternative sources. However, we had no Lemongrass at all for more than 3 weeks. 3) On top of the Lemongrass shortage, we had 2 deliveries of VCO which failed our testing. Rather than produce substandard Bug Spray, we rejected it and it took a few weeks to find alternative supplies which passed our tests. We apologise to all our dealers and customers for this frustrating situation. Unfortunately, natural products are far more difficult to produce than chemical ones and it can be tricky to respond to sudden surges in demand since doing so often involves waiting for crops to be harvested and processed. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter and we expect supplies to catch up to current demand by late September. We are now receiving deliveries every few days. DANGEROUS CHEMICALS 101: Common Concerns in Hair and Scalp Care Have you ever wondered why at the young age of 23 you’re already losing your hair? Or why your scalp is so darn itchy? It does not mean you are old or have lice. It can be due to just one simple thing: chemical build up. Well actually, not so simple. You see, there are many chemicals in our shampoos that are harmful and dangerous. Let’s take for example the most common ingredients found – ALS (Ammonium lauryl sulphate) and SLS (Sodium lauryl sulphate). Both ingredients are absorbed by the skin and can have highly damaging effects. These range from lack of hair growth to cataracts and according to studies, they are even carcinogens. Another culprit for one of your common scalp problems is parabens. Parabens are synthetic chemicals used to extend the shelf life of products and can cause skin irritation including dermatitis, which leads to either hair loss or dandruff, and allergic reactions. Lauramide DEA, a product used to create more lather in soaps, has also been found to cause cancer and dries the skin and hair. Have you heard enough? These are only a FEW of the chemicals found in shampoos and conditioners. So, they may cause your hair to smell lovely and feel smooth to the touch, but they can also be extremely dangerous to your health. Did you have a look at the current shampoo you're using? Recognize any of these chemicals? If you find you are having itchy scalp, hair loss or sores that may appear on the scalp, you could be having a reaction to any one of these chemicals and it’s probably about time that you throw those into the trash bin. Start fresh and go all natural. Filipinos deserve better! Make sure that what you lather into your hair is 100% free from harmful chemicals. 
DEALER OF THE MONTH: Bryan McClelland 
Bryan McClelland, an eco-preneur in his own right, is a Human Nature dealer who is an advocate not only of social entrepreneurship but also of the environment and nation-building as he engages in his own eco and community building initiative. “As I was working with Gawad Kalinga to help create Green Kalinga, I was trying to establish a socio-ecological business as well. My idea was to train unemployed and underemployed GK villagers to become Bambike builders. One of my goals is to grow the Bambike project such that I can provide employment to everyone in the village that needs work and is interested,” shares Bryan. Bambike is a very innovative bike frame made entirely of Bamboo, which is becoming popular among high-end bikers (KC Concepcion has one). Currently, Bambike employs three full time frame makers and hires a number of other people on a part-time basis. Part of their profit goes into a sustainable development fund where they plan to do bamboo reforestation, livelihood development and community-wide improvements such as clean running water in the village. As a Human Nature dealer, Bryan is an early adopter of Human Nature products and found out about Human Nature from his mother who gave him his very first products during the time that they were volunteering for Gawad Kalinga; the same time Human Nature was launched.
