We call this One Heart For One Community and we pray that with this support, this barangay will never be poor again. One Heart for One Community Human Nature’s top-selling product, the 100% Natural Citronella Bug Spray, will be the rallying point for thousands of dealers all over the country as the holiday season begins. From October 11 until December 31, 2010, 100% of the profit earned by Human Nature from the sales of the Citronella Bug Spray will be donated to the Citronella farming community in Brgy. Kanapawan, Labo, Camarines Norte where Human Nature sources all of the citronella that goes into each bottle of the Bug Spray. “Normally we couldn’t afford to give the entire proceeds of our best-seller away, but since Christmas is coming and we expect our other products to do well, we’re taking a leap of faith and giving the best of what we have to the poor! The proceeds will be used to help build three (3) additional extractors to help the farmers expand production, construct a preschool, pay the teachers’ salaries and provide healthcare to the citronella farmers. Ever since stepping foot on Philippine soil, our Global Ambassador, Rachel Grant, was on the go spreading the word about Human Nature to everyone she met – including her fellow passengers on the airplane! There was a big buzz about her coming and everyone wanted to have the chance to meet and interview this Hollywood Pinay beauty. The October 7 Human Nature press conference at the Peninsula Manila was thus held for the Philippine media to get to know Rachel. Rachel’s days were filled with magazine shoots and interviews with the nation’s leading broadsheet publications. Several times, Rachel was invited to guest on top-rating shows. Being the philanthropist that she is, Rachel also attended the GK Hope Ball wherein she even put a bid (or two) on Imelda Marcos’ famed shoes that were being auctioned off, and a few days later, attended the GK Expo to be one with the Filipino people in celebrating the 7 years that Gawad Kalinga has had to bring change and movement to this nation. Rachel was also at the Human Nature Summit last October 9, where she talked about her encounter with Human Nature and her love for the products and our advocacy. “I truly believe in Human Nature’s products, what they stand for and how the company works. I think they are world class, affordable products, and can definitely compete in an international market. I am very pleased to be part of the journey of Human Nature. Maridol Lopez Gonzalez had long been searching for an advocacy she could support and when her friend introduced her to Human Nature, she felt as if her prayers had been answered. She has been a Human Nature dealer for a year now and was recently awarded as Human Nature’s 2010 Advocate of the Year. With 60 recruits under her belt, Maridol is definitely on the roll with spreading the good news and the advocacy of Human Nature. “It's so easy to sell the products. I just tell them that it's a livelihood project and they make very good and affordable natural & organic skin care products. Not to mention that it’s Pro-Poor, Pro-Philippines and Pro-Environment” shares Maridol. In fact, after receiving her award of Advocate of the Year, she was able to sign up an additional 29 new dealers up from Davao and 10 from Manila in just a few weeks! Maridol loves Human Nature products and has shared them with her family and friends. Her style of getting more and more people interested in the products and the advocacy varies from having a quaint coffee date at her place where she then introduces her friends to Human Nature to sometimes just simply texting them and inviting them to support the advocacy. “So far, 95% of them gladly responded”, she said. She strongly advises that as a dealer, you should try the products out yourself first so that you’re knowledgeable about the products you’re selling. “If you believe in the products that you are selling, it’s easy to convince them to try it too” says Maridol.
