Dear Friends,
Let us welcome the new year in the right spirit by launching our most important campaign for 2014, "Goodness Rising", a drive to build 100 homes for a Gawad Kalinga community in Tambulilid, Ormoc, Leyte. Gawad Kalinga has been at the forefront of the relief operations and has now moved into the re-building phase to provide hope and normalcy to the Typhoon survivors. We kicked off our campaign last December 7 with all profits from our flagship store going to the Goodness Rising fund. In just one month, we were able to raise enough funds to build 11 houses through creative and generous activities. Some of our employees have decided to donate their entire 13th month pay, overtime pay and incentives for the cause. Throughout 2014, we will be having events every month such as bazaars, fun runs, karaoke and quiz nights all in an effort to build the first Human Nature GK Village for the typhoon survivors.
In our family, we have challenged our kids to devote all their talents and ideas to raise enough money to build one house. Apart from cartwheels, selling paintings, and playing songs on the recorder, my nephews and nieces have also donated their Christmas money for the cause. We highly encourage everyone to also come up with your own fund-raising activities to contribute to the Human Nature GK Village. Our children's personal target is to raise Php 125,000 throughout next year to build one house. We hope to bring you to our Human Nature GK Village as it rises this year so you can see how your efforts have built a community.
I believe that with all our combined efforts, we can soon realize this dream. Let us prove to our fellow Filipinos that we stand by our promise of "walang iwanan!"
