I came across this quote just this week in an article written by a young nation-builder. Falling in love is easy, some may even say it's beyond our control but what strikes me about this quote is the second part about staying in love. Love is a decision to say yes everyday to continue to commit to a person or a cause despite imperfections and the challenges. Working in Human Nature is one of our concrete expressions of our love for the Philippines. Some days are wonderfully inspiring as we see how Filipinos are now seeing local products in a different light or how people's lives are changed by dignified employment that commits to leaving no one behind. Then there are days that seem painful that might make us momentarily lose sight of our vision, days when we question whether it's all worth it. Those are the days when you choose to love and embrace our country because you know in your heart that the prize of a prosperous Philippines for all is worth the heartaches.
