You may have seen her face before. Perhaps in our latest magalogue, at a Robinsons near you, or perhaps even on TV (etcHQ). But what you don't know about this Japanese-American model is that she's not just beautiful outside, she's extremely beautiful on the inside too. Generous, kind-hearted and positive; these are just some words to best describe nature-loving, vegan Julia. Read on to find out more about this loveable girl and how her relationship with Human Nature came to be.

1. What do you do for a living?
   I am a model and TV host.
   
   
2. How did you end up in the Philippines?
   I have worked all over Asia on modeling contracts. I was previously in Bangkok and some friends recommended going to the Philippines for a season. They correctly thought I would really enjoy it here.
   
   
3. How do you find living in the Philippines?
   I love it here. The people are so friendly and welcoming. There is such a huge residual American influence so I feel very at home here.
   
   
4. How do you find the Filipino people?
   Filipinos are passionate, compassionate, warm, and generous. They have made me feel so at home here.
   
   
5. What do you admire most about Filipina women?
   I admire Filipina women for their strength and fire. They live with conviction.
   
   
6. How did you find out about Human Nature?
   I found out about Human Nature my first day in Manila at a shoot for Look Magazine. Camille Meloto was being featured and I was doing a separate beauty editorial. I've always been using natural beauty products so we really hit it off.
   
   
7. What attracted you to Human Nature?
   I was attracted by the fact that Human Nature is a social enterprise that helps support GK farms. I thought it was a really beautiful premise. Also I love that HN has no parabens, preservatives, carcinogens and offers a wide range of effective and affordable products.
   
   
8. What are your favourite Human Nature products?
   My favorite HN products are the Perfect Coverage Mineral Foundation and Nourishing Facial wash. The foundation doesn't clog my pores, has nice coverage but still goes on light. The Nourishing Facial wash cleans my face well without being overdrying or too harsh.
   
   
9. Have you always been into organic/natural/healthy/green living?
   I have been a vegan for the past three years and that is when I became truly interested in healthy green living. I used to wash my face with real aloe plant and manuka honey.
   
   
10. What are some eco-friendly tips that you can share with us?
    I try to walk as much as I can and not use cars too much if it can be avoided. I also use biodegradable soaps in the house. I buy my produce every weekend at the local neighborhood markets (Salcedo and Legaspi).
    
    
11. Tips for healthy living?
    I am vegan so I highly recommend eating a plant-based diet. I also do yoga and believe in the mind-body connection for holistic health. I believe in surrounding yourself with uplifting friends and influences. Getting enough clean air, sunshine, laughter is extremely important for peace of mind. I believe in doing everything with love and kindness.
