The freedom of choice. Whether we recognize it or not, most, if not all of us, have had the opportunity to choose most of our lives. A world expert on the study of choice links one's sense of control over a situation to one's ability to choose. Where one perceives to have no control over a situation, they then perceive they have no choice over the matter. So what does this have to do with Human Nature? We've recently launched our "Fight Dengue, Fight Poverty" farmer's fund drive campaign. Through this campaign, 100% of the profits from every Bug Shield Oil and Lotion sold goes to fund the development of 2 farming communities in Bukidnon into a world-class citronella processing facility. Through this campaign, farmers who always thought that they had no choice over their plight of poverty are now given the opportunity to have that sense of control so that they have the choice to have a better quality of life.
The farmers of Brgy. Imbayao and Brgy. San Jose in Bukidnon have taken the first step in making their choice with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement last May. Now, it is our turn to make the choice that gives our partner farmers the opportunity they need. Each time we choose to purchase a bottle of 100% Natural Bug Shield Oil or Lotion, not only have we chosen a product that is effective and is not harmful to our families and the environment, we have also chosen to give the farmers...the freedom of choice.
