Goodness... it's Human Nature—these are words we all take to heart and try to live by every working day and beyond. For most people, Human Nature is a company that helps the poor as it carves out its niche at the natural beauty and personal care industry, but not everyone knows how it's like being a part of this family.

Humans of Human Nature allows us to get to know our colleagues better and learn more about what they do once they wear their working hats or even juggle a few. Humans of Human Nature also gives us a great opportunity to share with the rest of the world what makes us unique as a company-from big and small victories as a company, the personal milestones our people reach, and the challenges that we hurdle-basically what makes Human Nature at par with brands that uphold global standards.

We're as excited to share the goodness that abounds in the walls of our humble office so without further ado, we present to you Humans of Human Nature on Facebook. Just before June ends we're kicking off Humans of Human Nature with stories about two of our everyday heroes aka dads at work!

Jojo de Dios, IT Head
"We need to see the purpose of our lives"

My previous jobs were the kind a lot of young people would love to have. I went around the country promoting IT applications and supporting my company's branches and customers. I also had a freelancing business. Money was the name of the game and I partied with customers and coworkers on a regular basis.

I was happy but there was no joy in my heart. I found myself empty.

I knew I had to let go of where I was then, to free myself, to actually be born again. I left my work without delay and poured out myself to God. I asked forgiveness for all my shortcomings. This changed me dramatically.

Stewart Breakenridge, Financial Consultant
"...the biggest wakeup call was the huge disparity between the rich and poor"

I was amazed at how friendly and helpful all the Filipino staff were, and how no request seemed to be too much trouble. I also found out quickly that they are very talented, and have a very strong work ethic.

I mentioned earlier about the incredible differences I saw in Manila, and the terrible conditions families have to bear just to eke out an existence. It is one of my joys at this time in my life to be working at Human Nature and feeling I am even a very small part of a company which has the drive and ambition to first and foremost help eradicate poverty in the Philippines.

While this is a huge task, we have a saying in Scotland - "Mony a mickle maks a muckle" which translated means many small things build up to make a great thing, and that is partly what Human Nature is all about-make a change for the good little by little.

Human Nature Dads: Defining Everyday Heroes

Provider, protector, and pillars of home-these are just some of the words often used to describe our dads.

From enduring loneliness when they choose to work overseas to provide a comfortable life for the family, taking you wherever you need to go or picking you up to make sure that you'll be home safely, to sacrificing their own dreams so you can pursue yours--dads are truly heroes in their own right.

The journey to fatherhood is just starting for first time dads Bryan Manongtong of Merchandising Operations and Mike Go of Social Enterprise Development Department. But as early as now they can already rave about how being a dad one of the most rewarding yet challenging experiences that they've had.

Category Team Meets SEED Students for Marketing Training

Two years ago, Human Nature made the commitment to send bright and deserving scholars to the School of Experiential and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) by raising funds. After seeing the pioneer batch graduate, we continue to provide support to SEED students and alumni by imparting with them knowledge and skills that they may utilize as they begin their journey to becoming social entrepreneurs.

Catch a glimpse of the Category Team's experience when they visited GK Enchanted Farm to meet with SEED students and coach them on the essentials of Marketing.

Tatak Bayani: Bayani Challenge 2017

What does it take to be a hero? As it turns out, you don't need superpowers or start a revolution to be one-all it takes is the heart to serve others.

As for Human Nature, heroism runs in the family as evidenced by employees from different departments who rolled up their sleeves and volunteered in this year's Gawad Kalinga's Bayani Challenge in Pililia, Rizal.

One for All, All for One

We've all seen our Retail Department wear coordinating outfits every Monday but their unity goes beyond their sartorial tastes. Just recently, the entire team joined Gawad Kalinga's Bayani Challenge in Pililia, Rizal and helped paint houses.

Joanne Ramirez, one of Retail Department's Key Account Managers, shared that her Bayani Challenge experience this year is different from the ones she has attended. "In the previous Bayani Challenges, only those who were available in our department were able to join. This year, we made sure that all of us would participate."

Human Nature Opens Paseo de Sta. Rosa Office

Goodness gets better for Human Nature employees who hail from the southern side of Metro Manila because our Paseo Office in Sta. Rosa, Laguna is now open for business!

On May 26, 2017, Human Nature Chairman Dylan Wilk led the blessing of what we fondly call The Paseo Office and the cheery affair was attended by employees from both the Quezon City and Laguna offices. Just last year, some of our formerly Quezon City-based employees also opted to start building their dream house with the financial assistance offered by the company. With the opening of the Paseo Office, it'll be easier for employees to travel to and from work and spend more time with families or do their hobbies
