Weekend Market Shopping at the GK Enchanted Farm

Do you enjoy shopping at weekend markets? Then here's a treat for you! Visit the GK Enchanted Farm on October 2, 2011 and have an excitement-packed day for the whole family! Get ready to feast your eyes on fresh fruits and veggies from all over the country -- the sweetest pineapples from Daet, the juiciest mangoes from Guimaras, the bursting goodness of pomelos from Davao, coffee from Sulu for only the brave *wink*, and more! You also get to sample and shop from a variety of social enterprises like Theo & Philo (the only chocolate that's 100% Philippine-made from the bean to the bar), Golden Eggs (all-natural fresh & salted duck eggs), Gourmet Keso (heavenly-tasting goat's & cow's cheese), Sili Express, Bagoong ni Juan, Enchantea and more. Learn how to make your own pottery at the newly-inaugurated park! There's nail art sessions, face painting sessions, massage areas and a mud pool for the kids! Don't worry - a hosing area will be ready for a quick clean-up afterwards. Just be ready to bring a change of clothes. Healthy lunch and snacks will also be available for sale.

The GK Enchanted Farm Weekend Market is brought to you by the Center for Social Innovation (CSI). It will be open from 8am to 4pm. If you wish to take part in this experience, kindly register with Claire Ericta at claireericta.gk@gmail.com / 0917-5926959 on or before September 27 (Tuesday). Registration is free but they need to make sure they prepare enough food for you if you plan on ordering your lunch and snacks.

As this is a CSI event, you will need to bring your own transport and going to the farm is quite easy! Just follow the directions below:

• From SM Fairview via Norzagaray (total distance of 31.4km):
  Turn right at Quirino highway and head towards San Jose Del Monte, go past Jollibee at intersection (8.4km), past the Steel Bridge (14.2km), turn left at Rotunda near palengke (17km), past Holcim Plant (18.7), take right/straight road at Rotunda with BPI & Shell (25.7), turn left when you see Pitang's Furniture on your right (28.1), turn right before Encanto Elementary School [Green Building] (30.7), GK site (31.4km)
• From NLEX Balintawak Toll Gate via Bocaue (total distance 33.5 km):
  Take Bocaue exit (16 km), turn right towards Sta. Maria via Bocaue Road, take left when you see PTT Gas Station (1.2 km), turn left upon reaching the Waltermart intersection (0.8 km), turn right at Win Gas Station (0.3 km), follow Pandi-Angat Road by hanging right, until Encanto Elem School where you turn left to enter site.
