I dont know why but this made me more oily :(
"Bought one at HHN main office along commonwealth ave.. I had been using this twice a day, every morning and night with Acne Def FW as it was recommended, but it made my face more oily while using for 2 weeks(to the point na after I put my makeup im super oily na in just a few mins on my Tzone esp on my nose, i didnt do anything pa my day is just about to start and when I go downstairs from my room and look in my vanity mirror I can see my super shiny face already im using matte products pa ah).. on my 1st week i thought i should give it more time for my face to adjust and to figure out what really cause me to be more oily than usual because before using this I had my regular natural toner * Dickinson's witchhazel variant.. and when I finally decided to stop using this toner, the next morning I woke up with a big difference, my face isnt oily nor dry, i didnt use anything the night before but the Acne Def FW only.. dont get me wrong i still love HHN products its just that this one isnt made for me :( [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Michelle Anne! "I always had a sensitive skin My face reacts easily when something foreign is applied to. I never applied a toner on my face just now. I was so excited to purchase this toner because I read a lot of positive reviews about. I was a bit nervous of trying it on my face because of my hypersensitivite face. What happened is first I cleansed my face with the Balancing facial wash then the toner after minutes I applied the Night moisturizer product you have. Two hours after I felt itchiness around my eyes then my cheeks. When I looked at the mirror, my eyes where a little smaller that my usual eye size. I'm quite not sure to what product my face reacted to. Good thing I always have a steroid cream with me. It subsided hours after applying it. Maybe I'm just not used to applying stuff on my face. My favorite toner yet!
"I was looking for a new toner because my old one was difficult to source out and ran out fast. I was having doubts on buying this toner because of the reviews, but I gave it a try because it said it was for oily and combination skin. Well guess what, I love this toner! I haven't had any breakouts or reactions when I used this. Another reason why I love this toner is because of the instant glowing effect it gave on my skin. It does have a burning sensation when you put it on, but that's probably because of the citrus ingredients in the toner. Aah will definitely repurchase this! [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Michelle Faye! While our Balancing Face Toner does not contain alcohol, it may sometimes sting due to its citrus content especially if you use any facial wash that has exfoliants or scrubs in it prior to toning. It Stings Now
"I am a fan of HHN and I have been ordering nearly every month. I noticed that in my recent order (earlier this week), this toner is not mild anymore. Did you change your formulation? When I apply the toner on my face, it causes an unpleasant stinging sensation, unlike before. I am now afraid to even apply it around my eyes (which I always do in your old formulation). I have combination skin
"I use this toner together with the balancing cleanser and I'm not yet sure if this is the one breaking me out. Although after my first use, some of my pimples were lessened but new pimples grew on other areas of my face. And whenever I moistened the cotton ball with this, I can't see any sign of dirt that may be left by the cleanser. Maybe the cleanser did washed all of the dirt since it has bamboo scrubs with it? I'm not sure. But I love the citrus smell and it doesn't give me that sting unlike other toners. It didn't dry my face too. [EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Alison! It's possible that there are other factors causing your pimples, as our Balancing Face Toner did not have an irritating effect on your skin when you began to use it. It's possible that your skin may still be adjusting to its formulation.
