 Dear Friends,
Summer has officially started and for families out there, this is the best time to be outdoors, explore our beautiful country and be one with nature. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing my kids climb trees, run through fields, and swim to their hearts content. Allowing them this kind of freedom comes easy for me now with the launch of our much-awaited, 100% natural, water-resistant and reef-friendly SAFEBLOCK. Our sunscreen been more than two years in the making because we wanted to provide all of you with the utmost care and protection whilst being true stewards of the environment. We would also like more Filipinos to discover the wonders of our country, hence we are sending some lucky buyers of SAFEBLOCK to El Nido, Palawan! On to more good news, after only 3 months since we've launched our Goodness Rising campaign to provide homes for 100 families displaced by Typhoon Yolanda, we have now raised enough funds to build 66 homes thanks to your support and the relentless generosity of our whole Human Nature family. We've had bake sales, book sales, Valentine sales, concerts and even a kid doing cartwheels to raise over 7 million pesos! Every little bit helps and we've seen that when Filipinos are united towards a common goal, we can deliver the best to those that need them the most. Summer is also a great time to be a hero while having a lot of fun. Join 1 million volunteers all throughout the country as Gawad Kalinga moves to re-build 12 provinces devastated by the war in Zamboanga, the quake in Bohol and Typhoon Yolanda. Starting on April 9, Araw ng Kagitingan and culminating on June 12, Independence Day, volunteers can form teams to build in various sites for 5 days each time throughout the summer. Finally, I would like to thank all of you for being our ardent supporters for the past 5 years. From just 3 people working from home to now having over 200 employees, 29 branches, 20 communities, almost 70,000 dealers and distribution in 4 countries, the Human Nature family has grown by leaps and bounds and has proven that social businesses can scale and work for the good of many.
