Just the other night, Human Nature's Pinay & Proud campaign was launched to the media to pay tribute to the FILIPINA WOMAN. At a personal level, this was the campaign that I really felt deeply about. I've met many Filipinas from all walks of life and the one thing that has always struck me was their quiet strength that was driven not by power or ambition but by... genuine, authentic love. I've seen it in my mother, my sisters-in-law, and in many other women like yourselves. I encourage you all to learn more about why Pinay & Proud is such an important campaign for all of us here at Human Nature. You can do so by visiting www.pinayandproud.com. The 15 Pinay & Proud women represent the 50 million Filipinas. Through them, we honor women like yourselves who are nurturing, courageous, inspiring and beautiful. And through you, we hope the young girls of this generation find the role models that will embolden them into becoming the most beautiful Filipinas they can be - inside and out.
At Human Nature, as we live out our philosophy of being Pro-Philippines, Pro-Poor and Pro-Environment, we do so in ways that go beyond our products. After all, Human Nature is all about loving our country, loving our environment, loving ourselves. And loving ourselves means celebrating the beauty that we have been blessed with - inside and out. Through this campaign, Human Nature recognizes 15 outstanding women who embody what it means to be a true Filipina. Our outstanding Filipinas are Cheche Lazaro, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Eugene Domingo, Maria Montelibano, Akiko Thomson-Guevara, Rachel Grant, Noreen Bautista, Rose Cabrera, Ditsi Carolino, Aliah Dimaporo, Bai Linda Eman, Anna Oposa, Isabel Cuevas-Santos, Xilca Alvarez-Protacio and Maricel Valderama.
