Dipolog City, gateway to lush Zamboanga del Norte, is home to the travel-loving Suan family – Karl, a pediatrician, his wife Celeste, an anesthesiologist, and their two lively daughters.

Karl and Celeste were introduced to Human Nature by their parents, who encouraged them to sign up as advocates.

“We decided to go for it as a business to promote usage of environmentally friendly products and to help poor Filipino communities,” says Karl. Despite being advocates for barely half a year, they were able to move P283,373 worth of products and refer 18 more advocates in the first quarter of this year – even after the Christmas peak.

The couple manages a shop at a Dipolog City mall, where their bestselling product is the iconic Sunflower Beauty Oil. Their trade secret? Social media and word of mouth.

“I advise parents to use Human Nature products like Baby Wash, Baby Lotion, Bug Shield, [SafeProtect] sunscreen and the balms. So far parents’ feedback are all positive,” shares Karl, adding that his whole family  also uses Human Nature.

Karl and Celeste partly owe their success to a small but strategically located fixed-location store in their province – which goes to show you don’t need to be in the metro to make it big.
