Summer is just around the corner and the hotter weather calls not only for a change in your wardrobe but also a change in your usual skin care routine. But don't panic! It's only a few tweaks here and there to help fight off potential sunburns, dull skin and fried hair (and you might already be doing a couple of these on the daily!). Here are the three products you should be adding to your skin care routine ASAP to prep your beauty for summer:

1. Extra-moisturizing hair treatment

Hard truth: even of you don't dip into the pool or swim in saltwater, your hair will get discolored, brittle and rough when overexposed to the sun.

Save your beautiful soft tresses from the scorch by boosting your hair treatment ritual from 1-2x a week to daily. The trick is to ditch anything heavy on scalp and strands and instead opt for creamy hair treatments that are light enough for daily use but still offer the same moisture-packed nourishment - just like Human Nature's Daily Hair Treatment!

It's so light that you can even leave it on overnight (wearing a shower cap or with hair securely wrapped in a towel) and then thoroughly rinse it off the morning after. The result is fully-revived locks ready for another day of fun under the sun!

2. Exfoliating brush

Regular exfoliation is one of the most important beauty practices to achieve that even-toned and glowing skin. This is even truer during summer when the only thing you should be laying on thick is sunscreen (time to flaunt that bare beautiful face!).

If you're not doing this yet, it's time that you set up the habit of regularly exfoliating your face. It's as simple as boosting your usual cleansing by pairing your Human Nature Nourishing or Hydrating Facial Wash with your Pore Cleansing Brush twice a week.

The deep cleansing effectively removes sebum, sand, salt and other dirt lodged in your pores. This also helps your skin better absorb the TLC of your whole skin care routine.

Note: Exfoliation bares beautifully smooth, even skin - but freshly scrubbed skin can be more prone to sunburn. The solution? Wait until evening to exfoliate and make sure to slather on SPF the next morning.

3. Sunscreen

No surprise here! Wearing sunscreen every day is a must (those skin-aging UV rays can pass through almost anything!) but its application and reapplication gets even more important during summer since you're most likely directly exposed the sun for a longer period of time (e.g. weekend getaways hiking, or at the beach, or even just a simple picnic at the park).

Keep a small tube of sunscreen on you at all times for easy reapplication anytime anywhere. Your best bet? Human Nature's SafeProtect 100% Natural Sunscreen which comes in a pocket-friendly 50g size.
