It’s the Love Month! While Valentine’s Day seems to be about couples, love really is more than just about eros or romantic love.
In the bible, love is described as: patient and kind, not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way, not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices with the truth. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
So, after having that special date with your sweetie pie, why not share love in all its splendor with others as God designed it.
That is just what we’ve been fortunate enough to do at Human Nature. Called to live out our love for God and for our neighbors, our employees took time out last Christmas to share time, talent, and treasure to the nanays in Gawad Kalinga-Batasan Hills, QC.
Through our HR Officer for Advocacy and Engagement, Rick Laping, we reached out to the community and learned that they needed a sustainable livelihood program to augment their household income. It was agreed that selling their own handmade soap would be a simple enough product to start their own community business.
The New Products Development and Consumer Research Teams were tapped to share their smarts in soap-making, while the Marketing Team shared some sales strategies and marketing magic with them.
But wait, there’s more to this sudsy story. Since it was Christmastime, we also wanted to reach out to the children in the community and celebrate Jesus Christ, the ultimate expression of God’s love for us. So the Retail Team joined us to party with the kids, sharing food, gifts, laughs, and love.
So, let’s experience love in all its facets and continue to share it with others. How do you plan to show and share God’s love this love month and the whole year through?
