Human Nature Dealer Isla Rosete exemplifies the very essence of living healthy and happy.

New year, new beginnings. This 2012, we’re hoping that living a healthier, greener lifestyle is on your new year’s resolution so we’ve found a Human Nature dealer who exemplifies the very meaning/essence of living healthy and happy. Who you might ask? Well, it’s none other than Isla Rosete, an Ashtanga and Fly Yoga instructor who’s a proud Pinay and proud Human Nature dealer. Read on to find out more about her.

1. How did you find out about Human Nature?

I discovered Human Nature in July 2009. I don’t remember exactly HOW I found out about it, but I do remember exactly how I felt the moment I did. I was so excited to finally find products that were simple and went back to the very basics of being natural and local. It took me only two minutes to decide that being a Human Nature dealer would be more than worth it. My family and I have been Human Nature advocates since that day and we still get excited when there are new products.

2. What attracted you to Human Nature?

What caught my interest in Human Nature was the simplicity—the simplicity of the idea that buying even the most basic products can help people move forward in helping others, the environment, and the country… and not to mention, your beauty! Buying organic or natural has never been less complicated and more accessible to anybody.

The fact that Human Nature does not end with just a handful of products is a big plus as well. I love that there is a wide array of products for everyone in the family.

3. What are your favorite Human Nature products?

The first and last thing that I do when I teach a yoga class is spray my hands (and feet!) with Citrus Burst Spray Sanitizer. It goes on my mat, too! Every time I eat out with my friends, sisters, nephews, or niece, they ALWAYS stick their hands out to me before we dig in because they know that I always have a handy dandy bottle of Citrus Burst Spray Sanitizer in my bag. I use it for everything. I have several big bottles around the house—toilet, kitchen, living room—ready to use for any imaginable cleaning purpose. I even have one in my car! I think it’s the most versatile product on the catalogue. I’ve even started bringing around extras of the mini bottle to give to away!

4. Have you always been into organic/natural/healthy/green living?

I have always believed in keeping things simple and in line with healthy and green living, although I’ve never been too strict with it because most organic products in the market are too highly priced. It seems not as effective to create organic products and overprice them because then that doesn’t create enough impact to reach out to people to help the environment.

It was only when I discovered Human Nature that prompted me further to be a supporter of natural and organic products. It’s reasonably priced and therefore accessible to more people, the products are safe to use (even for children), and by buying a product, you contribute to Gandang Kalikasan’s advocacy. It’s triple good karma. Good for you, good for the environment, and good for other people!

5. What are some eco-friendly tips that you can share with us?

I believe small actions can make a big difference. It may sound so overused, but use eco-bags, bring your own water bottles, and don’t use plastic straws! Did you know that it takes over 1 million years for a single straw to decompose? So let’s make an extra two-inch effort to drink from a cup. Lastly, make sure to always switch off the lights and unplug any appliance that’s not in use to prevent vampire power sucking up your electricity and hiking up your bill! These are found in appliances that consume electricity when turned off or put on standby mode like the TV, computer, microwaves, and unplugged chargers.

Along with this, educate the people around you, especially children because this is the best way to pay it forward—creating good habits in the next generations.

6. Tips for healthy living?

Healthy living starts small. If you keep yourself healthy, then everything else will follow. This includes eating right, exercise, and using organic products. For the past few years, my family and I have been drinking green smoothies. It’s a refreshing blend of fruits and green, leafy vegetables. It may not sound appealing, but you have to try it! It helps proper nutrition, better digestion, provides alkalinity, makes your skin radiant and glow, and also helps in balancing your diet.

Also, KEEP MOVING. It doesn’t matter if you follow a strict workout. Do what makes you happy. I am passionate about rock climbing, surfing, and skating, but I also find joy in simple everyday activities like walking. Yoga is also something worth trying because you can stretch and breathe everywhere even for just a few minutes at a time! As an Ashtanga and Fly Yoga instructor, I encourage everyone to find time to breathe and meditate to cleanse the body and get rid of negative energy. Anyone can do it! It’s simple and highly effective.

Good health is for everyone. Eat right, find time to do things with your family to stay active, try new things, and always keep a positive attitude because it affects everything you do in life.
