Summer is finally here! Treat yourself to this delicious and healthy homemade tamarind sorbet!
Summer is finally here! As you get beach-ready, treat yourself to this delicious and healthy homemade tamarind sorbet, guaranteed to beat the heat while you hang on to your bikini bod!
What you'll need:
1 cup water
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup frozen tamarind pulp
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Fresh mint leaves for garnish
What to do:
1. Cook water and sugar in small saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves.
2. Boil for 5 minutes.
3. Pour mixture into bowl.
4. Cool syrup to room temperature.
5. Blend tamarind pulp and lemon juice into sugar syrup.
6. Strain.
7. Transfer to ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's instructions.
8. Transfer to airtight container. Freeze at least 2 hours before serving.
