Here at Human Nature, we are committed to spreading only the good throughout the entire country. So we're delighted to announce that our Cebu City branch has now moved to a bigger, better, and more accessible site! Just like our very own Human Nature Flagship Store in Metro Manila, the new concept store showcases a truly beautiful, unique, and Filipino interior.

Before becoming Human Nature Cebu's Branch Operator, Mr Wilmer Lopez was a very successful beer distributor at Ormoc City for a very long time. However, each time he would hear of fights happening during drinking sessions, he was plagued by guilty feelings. Could one of his beer bottles have caused the fight? So off he went to the bishop to ask if it was sinful to be a beer distributor. These guilty feelings eventually led him to quit and start Human Nature in the Visayas instead. He recounts:

“As a Gawad Kalinga (GK) Volunteer, I first heard about Human Nature from Rey Balatayo who was also a GK full-time worker. Then, I was already burdened being in the liquor business. Also, since my wife was an integrative medical doctor and was an advocate of organic products, it was our belief that we should not apply onto our skin anything that we could not eat."

He continues, "I dream and hope for the Philippines to be able to eradicate poverty and to introduce the new business modality of having a business with a heart. So to my fellow entrepreneurs, do consider social entrepreneurship as a mode in nation-building while you earn. I enjoin everyone to have a paradigm shift from profit maximization to profit optimization which helps increase the quality of life for more Filipinos.
