February 21 was a night where an enchanted forest was lit up along the busy highway of Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. Human Nature opened its flagship store - a beautiful, unique and truly amazing Filipino concept store; a first of its kind located on this side of town.
Human Nature President and co-founder Anna Meloto-Wilk welcomed guests and talked about her love for Quezon City - a city very close to her heart, a city where her family has been residing for the past 26 years, a city where the Human Nature Filipino concept store now stands, ready to showcase world-class Filipino products. Father and Founder of Gawad Kalinga, Tony Meloto was also there to inspire others. He talked about how young Filipino talent will help fulfill the Philippines' destiny to become the 16th biggest economy in the world and how the Philippines is now the gateway to Asia. The store opening was also graced with the presence of Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, guest speaker of the night, who talked about Quezon City working closely with social entrepreneurs and making the city a green, nature lover's paradise.
Members of the press and special guests also had the chance to taste the many scrumptious, mouth-watering cheese platters, organic burger patties, bambutido, banana-bamboo muffins and other delicious food prepared and served by the wonderful social entrepreneurs and also got to taste the delicious Enchantea and famous Café de Sug Sulu Coffee. They also got to go on a mini shopping spree taking home Human Nature and other Center for Social Innovation (CSI) products.
The night ended on a high note with lots of filled tummies and shopping bags and a stronger appreciation of Philippine-made products... Truly world-class products.
