Greetings of Peace in Christ!

We are living in the worst of times and the best of times. Many people are fearful; many people have lost their income, and some are going hungry. But this is also a time when we see so much love and faith in action! From the frontliners risking their lives to serve the public, to even the poor who are giving away their relief goods to others who need it more, truly, there is still light in this dark time.

Ultimately, God remains in control, and He wants us to be salt and light to the world—to be a light in the darkness. These are times when the gospel can shine most brightly. Our government is doing the best it can but due to the huge scale of the problem, they still need the help of the private sector to reach so many vulnerable families who are going hungry. There are still thousands of families in Payatas and other areas who have not yet received food and are hungry right now. Human Nature and our networks have been responding to the call to help in Quezon City and parts of Laguna. We have been delivering food packs to hungry families and working through reputable NGOs that are working directly with the poor.

So far, we have distributed food packs good for a family of 5-6 for 1 week to the following areas:

• Sitio Ruby (QC) – 45 families
• Village for the Disabled (QC) – 113 families
• Payatas 1st round – 100 families
• Payatas 2nd round – 200 families
• Payatas 3rd round – 1900 families on partial rations, good for 3 days only
• Feria fire-survivors community (QC) – 43 families
• Feria slum community (QC) – 500 families
• Laura Sampaguita (QC) – 88 families
• Laura Waling Waling (QC) – 45 families
• Sitio Hemedez (Santa Rosa) – 150 families
• Brookside (QC) – 300 families
• Side of Brookside (QC) – 244 families
• La Mesa Homes (Sta Rosa) – 43 families
• Toyota village (QC) – 156 families

Following Jesus’ command in Luke 6 to “Give to everyone who asks you… Do to others as you would have them do to you,” we have been trying to give to all communities that we come across which are hungry. But the numbers have increased and we are in great need of financial support ourselves to be able to continue to feed these people until relief comes from other sources or until they are able to work again.

Payatas is where the greatest need is right now—almost everyone there has no money. Hence, we are trying to raise funds for at least 10,000 hungry families this week so we can buy food for them all before everything shuts down for Holy Week. One food pack costs around P400, which means we need to raise P4 million this week.

Therefore, we would like to earnestly request that you support the hungry in Payatas!

You can give directly to Puso ng Ama Foundation (PNA), our partner NGO in Payatas. This will be quicker than giving to Human Nature and they can provide an O.R. Please just scan your deposit slip and email/message it to us at goodnessrising@humanheartnature.com so we can ensure you receive your O.R. The bank details to give to Payatas are as follows:

May God be with you all through this crisis! God is our comforter, our refuge, our fortress, our provider and our protector, a CLOSE help at hand to those who put their trust in Him. More than the masks, more than the sanitizer, more than protocols and quarantine of our bodies, we all need the SPIRIT OF GOD in this time of crisis! Let's run to Him today! "Enter His gates with thanksgiving, enter His courts with praise. Be grateful to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good and His mercy is everlasting; His truth endureth for ALL time." May His name be praised and may you use this time to remind everyone of His FAITHFULNESS and His TRUSTWORTHINESS. May you proclaim His goodness BOLDLY to a hurting and fearful world. Let's be living witnesses of His love. God be with you all today and throughout this crisis!

In Christ,
